DIY bunny shirt - no vinyl needed - PEEP dog shirt for Easter - Acrylic paint and printed stencil

This was so last minute but I wanted to make Archie, my dog, a peep bunny shirt before our Easter themed bingo tomorrow. I bought the shirt for him from Amazon a couple weeks back and thought about doing a vinyl applique BUT I ran out of time. Plan B!

What you need:
T-shirt
Acrylic paint
Paint brush
Printed stencil or shape
Tulle
Sewing kit or hot glue

I  used metallic white acrylic paint.

White tulle for the peep tail.

I printed a peep shape on 11x17 paper and placed under the shirt and traced with chalk.

I didn't think about if I add a bunny tail then you are looking at the REAR of the peep. I originally painted the black eyes and nose and had to wipe it off  (not easy) and paint over it a few times so the white covered my mistake.

Painted (few times) and let dry.

I used a piece of cardboard to wrap the tulle around.

Carefully slid it off and used sewing thread to tie it in the center. Then I followed the loops at the end of each side and cut.

Trimmed off any longer pieces.

Tested placement and size. I trimmed it down twice to make it look size appropriate. Lol!

Sewed in place or use hot glue to attach.

So cute!

He looked adorable!

Chocolate dipped Pretzel Rods - EASTER TREAT IDEA - Tips & tricks for dipping - DIY tutorial

Dipped pretzel rods are so easy to make and easy to match a color theme.

Supplies:
Pretzel Rods
Candy Melts
Sprinkles
Coconut oil - optional
Bowls for melting
Tall cups for dipping
Parchment paper
Pretzel bags
Ribbon

I made 40 pretzel rods.
2 bags of the HEB brand pretzel rods. Several were broken or I could've made more.
2 bags of candy melts (pink and yellow) and I almost used the entire bag of both colors.
2 small bags of Wilton Spring Sprinkles.

I used tall narrow glasses for dipping.

I have the candy melts pictured in the glasses prior to melting but I did not heat them in the glass.

I used bowls to heat the candy melts and transferred to the glasses. The glass gets too hot to hold and it's much easier in the bowl. I did a tutorial and details about the coconut oil HERE. I added to each bowl to make the consistency a little thinner for easier dipping.

Dipped pretzel and lightly shook off the excess without touching the glass. Placed on parchment paper.

I only dipped the ends but you could use taller glasses or fill the glass up more.

Dip 3-5 pretzels and add sprinkles.

Let dry. If needed you can place them in the refrigerator for about 5 mins to harden faster. Do not leave them in there for long. Candy melts get sticky if left in the fridge.

If you refrigerated, wait until back to room temp before bagging.

Bag and add matching ribbon.

We brought them to bingo for all the residents and staff.

Archie came to visit and wore his PEEP shirt!

EASY 2 tier diaper cake - Baby shower idea - HOW TO MAKE tutorial - Table centerpiece or gift - 1 package of newborn diapers

I recently made a diaper cake for a baby shower and it turned out so cute. You can add gift cards or baby toys but it's so cute by itself. Could be used as a table centerpiece or decoration.

Here is a tutorial to make a small two tier diaper cake with one package of newborn diapers.

Supplies:
Huggies newborn diapers - 31
Ribbon
Paper shreds
Rubber bands
Hot glue

To roll the diapers, start at the top of the diaper and roll to the bottom. This will give you a nice finished side. Use a rubber band to secure.

I rolled 7 individual diapers and bunched together to make the center circle. Then used a larger rubber band to hold them in place.

Then I rolled 15 more individual diapers.
I added another large rubber band around the center and started filling in the diapers making a ring around the original 7 in the center.

I filled in 11 of the 15 diapers and started using the paper shreds to space out the center and outer ring. This will give you room to add the additional 4 diapers.

For the remaining 9 diapers I made the top tier. I overlapped the diapers vertically and rolled. Secured with a large rubber band around them.

I filled the center with paper shreds making it a little larger. You can adjust the diaper to make them evenly spaced.

I placed two dowels on either side of the bottom tier and slid the top tier in place.

It actually holds pretty well. I didn't use anything extra to hold the diapers together.

I wrapped the ribbon around each tier to hide the rubber bands.

I attached the ribbon together with hot glue at the ends. I did not attach anything to the actual diapers so not to ruin any of them.

I printed a few graphics and attached with hot glue to the ribbon.

I used a dowel to attach the top graphic.

Made a small ribbon bow to hide the dowel.

April Fool's Day fun! - WORKPLACE jokes - Prank ideas - Fun for kids - Tricks to replace food/drinks, urine cups, fake can goods, cat turds

It's that time of year again!!! Mwahahaha!

I started by telling my soon to be 15 year old that they changed the age for driving permits to 16 years old. Now he would need to wait another year to start practicing and definitely could not practice this summer. I had a whole elaborate story and sold it pretty well. I kept it going all morning but fessed up before he got really upset. :) Lol!

I was really excited because April Fool's Day hasn't landed on a school day since 2016! This meant pranks in their school lunches.
Fake out food in their lunch.
Note on the napkin at the bottom of their lunch box.

Remember the box I sent my Mom and the sneaky gift idea? Well I did it again, I emptied small pop top cans from the bottom and replaced contents with their normal snacks and fruit. They had a can of diced water chestnut, pieces & stems mushrooms, chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, and corned beef hash.

I was originally going to empty all the cans but after I opened the corned beef hash I decided to leave that one with the real contents. Lol!

Sealed the bottom of the cans with hot glue.

I did write OPEN IF YOU DARE on the top as a little warning for the corned beef hash.
It smelled like cat food and a gross solid constancy.

I bagging their sandwiches in 8 zip lock bags and then saran wrapped them.

The cans weren't enough so I included some fresh chilled urine samples. Haha!

I still have a ton of sample cups left over from our last two Halloween parties in 2016 & 2017.

Urine cups were filled with lemon jello this time. I added a little more yellow food color to give it that uriney look.

What's funny is I made extras and brought them to work to fill the fridge.

I stacked them up and on people's food with dates and ranging times. I started the date/times the night before and told them the doctor needed 24 hrs of samples and I have to mail them after work. I kept them in my lunch bag and added an new one to the fridge every time I went to the bathroom. LOLOLOL!!!! It was the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Photo is after lunch. I couldn't risk getting caught taking a pic before. :)

Remember my kitty litter cake with cat turds? Well I just made the cat turds. I put them in my kids school lunch in a ziploc with a tag labeled cat turds.

For work I put them in a corner in the bathroom. After they were discovered I had everyone go look and kept trying to look closer. Everyone was yelling, DON'T TOUCH IT!" As toilet paper was being grabbed to be cleaned up, I pick a piece up (strategically placed on top) and I licked it.
LMAO!!!! Facial expression = priceless!

AND I replaced my son's apple juice with tea.

AND I replaced the orange juice with mac n cheese powder mix.

AND I made pizza for dinner and dessert was also pizza. Cookie dough, icing and fruit roll-ups to look like pizza.

What a successful day!
