Cute jars with the cake baked in it! Tags say, "You are the icing on the cake! Thank you for being you!"
I love how these turned out and they were a huge hit with the teachers.

Divided the cake batter

Love this food color...so many colors. I used a 50% coupon I had for Michael's craft store to get this set.

Mixed my colors

Put them in ziplock bags and arranged the color. I clipped the corner to fill the jars (same in THIS post)

I removed the lids since they had a rubber edge and put all the jars in the dishwasher the night before. When done I dried and added each color carefully NOT to get it on the edge, inside of the jar, or the outside. It burns the jar making it look dirty. Using the ziplock bag made it easy and no mess.

Adding colors until I was done

I could fit 12 jars in a 9X12 baking pan with 1/4 inch of water in the pan.  I filled all the jars just a little less then 1/2 but you can go up to 1/2. I just wanted to make sure I had room for the icing.

350 degrees for 40 minutes

Put the lids back on and added the icing and sprinkles

OOOOHHHH AAAAHHHHHH! So cute!

Ribbon and spoons

Can't forget the tags!! I also added a tag to the top that said the teachers name and my boys names.

I also made these cakes for Christmas for the teachers in THIS POST

I found all these cute bling office supplies on clearance at Micheal's last year. Prices ranged between .75 to $1.75. WHAT A DEAL!!! I ended up going to every store in the city buying everything they had. :)

In pink

and in purple

Any office supplies will work

Pots, floral foam, dowels, hot glue, double sided tape, tags, shredded paper, ribbon and office supplies

I spray painted the pots black and another coat with glitter spay. Then hot glued the floral foam.

Hot glued dowels to back

added a ribbon and used shredded paper to cover the floral foam and dowels

Used double sided tape to attach tags

FREE 4x6 downloadable tags (pink & purple)
I sent the file to a local 1hr photo lab to be printed but you can also print 4x6 size at home.

Mini M&M jars with tags. These colorful treats are so easy and inexpensive to make. The kids can help and I've included a FREE downloadable poem to match each color of candy. The perfect way to show teachers you are thinking of them!

Separated the mini M&M's. The boys had the best time. We did have a rule in place that each were given a small bag to eat AFTER we were done.

Then I had fun photographing all the colors :)

Since we gave something out to all the teachers, nurse, librarian, principal, asst. principal, music, art and P.E. we used the smaller jars this year. They are only 2 1/2 inches tall (see pictures below of larger jars)
Layered the colors according to the labels

Added ribbon and labels

Personalized tags on the top for each teacher and from the boys

FREE 4x6 downloadable tags (large and small)
I sent the file to a local 1hr photo lab to be printed but you can also print 4x6 size at home.

They are blank because the ones I printed were personalized with the teachers name and the boys names. You can write directly on the tag and attach to the top if you want.

The teachers were so impressed and boys were so excited to give them out.
