Super cute birdhouse & wind chime church - hand-painted with so many details

I have to brag on my Mom and share her creation. Look at this super cute birdhouse/wind chimes that looks like a little church!!!

I'm amazed at the creativity and details she put into this craft. She made it for a neighbor that loves birdhouses and churches. 

She made this all by hand and even created the steeple, with tiny painted saints, and the stain glass windows.

She painted all the copper accents with nail polish with a clear coat over it.

She built the steeple with wood sticks and wood filler. 

For the fake stain glass windows she used markers on parchment paper and attached a thin wood boarder.

Then she filled with clear Gorilla Glue. 

For the roof she used black pepper to give it texture and then painted it.

I love it!

DIY tube glitter bracelets /necklace - NO GLUE needed - Dollar Tree find - Tube glitter or confetti curls - Fun and easy craft idea

I made seed bead bracelets recently and went down memory lane on how I loved making crafts as a kid. I used to make bracelets with fish tank tubing, air connectors, and filled with seed beads. The connectors never fit right but I found some tubing that fits the connectors perfectly!!

Tube glitter ???? I don't know how I've never heard or seen this but I instantly bought a bunch.

I found the tubing at Home Depot and the connectors on Amazon. 

I tried to order the tubing online but it had small black writing with the product info all over the tubing. That doesn't make for pretty bracelets.

Tube glitter from Dollar Tree.

I found these multi color packages of tube glitter at Dollar Tree for only $1!!! 

The SAME EXACT glitter (and so much less) would be $12 at Michael's for three colors.

Measure tubing around your wrist for size and cut. 

I made several at 8" long.

Insert the connector.

Now the fun part! Fill with glitter, beads, sprinkles, chunky glitter, tube glitter, jewels, confetti, glass glitter, microbeads or anything else that will fit!

I made a paper type funnel for the tube glitter since it's so chunky. It does get stuck so you have to tap the tube with a pencil to get it to move down. You may need to squeeze gently and tap again. 

Insert the connector in the other end of the tube and you're done!

You could add some glue but I had a hard time pulling the bracelet apart without glue.

I also made a couple with fine glitter that I found at the same time.

Fine glitter is definitely easier to fill than the tube glitter. I tried cutting a tiny piece off the corner of the glitter package to fill. It worked out okay but very slow.

 I didn't have a glitter/craft funnel but this worked perfectly! I had the idea when I was filling the mini fairy jars with glitter. Wilton cake decorating tip #5. Lol!

Tap the tube to get the glitter to move down. Close and you are done. 

With so many different types of glitter the creative opportunities are endless. 

So easy and they turned out super cute.

Halloween wedding bouquet idea - HOW TO MAKE tutorial - SKULLS & black roses - Gothic themed bridal accessory

I helped a friend with her Halloween themed wedding and last minute I decided to make a flower bouquet. 

I love how it turned out!

I used the leftover black roses and skulls from the table centerpiece decorations.

Purchased a strofoam half ball at Micheal's craft store.

I had leftover black styrofoam safe spray paint from a previous Halloween craft. 

Used black 1 1/2 inch satin ribbon for the handle.

I spray painted the half ball black and cut the roses off the vine. I also removed the leaves but ended up only using the roses.

I didn't have a dowel wide enough so I cut down a PVC pipe from my zombie skeletons. 

The leg...lol!

Hot glued a piece of ribbon over the bottom. 

Used the PVC pipe to twist a hole in the center of the half ball.

Removed the center.

Used lots of hot glue to attach the PVC pipe into the bottom of the base. 

I cut 7" strips of ribbon to cover the bottom of the base.

Hot glued to make loops.

Attached the ends with hot glue to the PVC pipe. Make sure you leave enough so the loop goes all the way to the edge of the base.

Repeat until bottom of the base is covered. 

Start at the bottom of the PVC pipe and wrap the ribbon towards the bottom of the base. 

Wrap a little and hot glue, wrap a little more and hot glue. Repeat.

Once all the ends of the loops are covered, cut the ribbon. Fold the end and hot glue in place. This will give it a clean edge. 

Ready to start decorating.

I placed all the roses in the styrofoam first for spacing. Once I had it figured out, removed and hot glued in place. 

The skulls were too thick and stuck out past the roses. 

I decided to cut the skulls in half with an exacto knife.

Hot glued the skull in place. 

Added more roses.

And more roses.

I thought about adding more skulls but it looked too busy. I ended up only using four with the rest roses.

I love that it matches the table centerpieces.
