National Police Week IDEAS - Thank you gift/treat - THIN BLUE LINE - Cop Appreciation - Show Support

These ideas could be used all year round but this week is National Police Week. I love the idea of showing our support for our law enforcement and also remembering those that lost their lives in the line of duty.

This week I'm bringing goodies, lunch for the PD one day and breakfast (muffins) for a Fallen Officer Memorial ceremony.

I found a great resource called Whole Truth Project that has wonderful quotes and photos. I re-worked some of their designs to fit what I needed them for and mostly to make them all one size.

This what we are delivering to the PD tomorrow.

Dipped oreos with motivational quotes. Plus a note that lets them know we appreciate what they do.

To make:

Oreos - I love the birthday cake....yummmm

Candy Melts

Thick icing tip (see below)

Icing bag or ziplock

Bags

Ribbon

Tags/double sided tape - optional

The only time I can find black candy melts in store is Halloween so I stock up. You can order online or local bake shops carry them.

I dipped in black but if you can find chocolate it looks great too.

They sell this tip individually and less expensive but I was given this set years ago. Not sure what tip number but it's flat and thin.

One THIN BLUE LINE and let dry. EASY!

Printed and trimmed tags. Used double sided tape to attach.

I know....dipped oreos AGAIN! I told you, they are not only addictive to eat but to make as well. So easy and presentation wise they look amazing. I can dip a hundred of these in no time.

LOOK!!! I matched the sprinkles with the tags. {{Squeal}} That's my happy squeal which I think sounds more like a high pitch long E. Usually my hands fly around or up and I look crazy. I'm a bad hand talker as it is and when you get my squeal it all gets bigger.

Last year we handed these out to EVERY teacher!

BITE SIZE - Mini Chocolate Dipped Oreos ((Valentine's Day gifts)) IDEAS - chocolate transfer sheets - DIY

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I made these for the teachers last year. BITE SIZE chocolate dipped oreos. YUMMMM!!! I love dipped oreos and make these quite often but the minis are so cute.

size difference :) Not sure the mini's are the best idea. I end up eating way more. Cute but naughty.

If you don't have or want to purchase transfers you can just use sprinkles or drizzle chocolate over them.

This idea originally came when I ordered pre-printed chocolate transfer sheets. They were way too small to fix a regular sized Oreo or even cut to cover it. At first I was bummed but then there was a huge sale on mini cookies for $1 a bag and I of course stocked up thinking I won't eat these....just for gift ideas. Yeah right. So, I'm eating half the bag and realize they might be the right size.
