GROUP Service Project Idea - Assemble DIY Mini First Aid Kits for the Homeless - Homemade bag - Supply ideas - Downloadable tag

I love ideas that are easy ways to give back.
These DIY mini first aid kits are inexpensive to make large quantities and a perfect group service project.

Last Sunday we did this with the retirement residents. It's a nice opportunity for them to give back without leaving the building. They assembled the kits and we'll take them downtown to a highly concentrated area where the homeless gather.
You could also give the kits to a group that benefits the homeless.

SUPPLIES:
Band-Aids - different sizes
Alcohol wipe
Q-tips
Hand sanitizer wipes
Ointment

We wanted to make it easy to remember what to put in the bags. TWO of everything except the tag & ointment.

2 small round band-aids
2 large band-aids
2 alcohol wipes
2 Q-tips
2 hand sanitizer wipes
1 tag
1 ointment (optional)

I ordered individual ointments from Amazon but they didn't arrive in time.
They were added afterwards.

Tips for assembling:

We reminded everyone they would have 6 different items. This way they could set it out and count to make sure they weren't missing anything.

Things I would do differently or add:

We had 4 table and went around with each item and added to the table. It would've been better to add ALL 6 items on a table and before moving to the next table. It caused some confusion since not all items were on the table before starting.

When we do this again, I will make a board with a large photos of each item and a large #2 above it. This way we could set the board at the front of the room or walk around with it to show each table.

With all that said, it went great. All the residents speed filled 60 bags perfectly in under 20 minutes!!!

I ordered the antibiotic cream on amazon. 144 for about $12.

BIO-HAZARD Halloween Party theme - Easy buffet dinner/ appetizer FOOD ideas - FREE Toxic Waste downloadable tags - scary & gross

Halloween party theme this year was Bio-Hazard /Toxic Waste / Zombie Apocalypse.

If you can't tell by now, I love a good theme and EVERYTHING must match!!! Here's what we served during the party.

Bio-Hazard Buffet Table

Some oldies with different names to match the theme and some are new. :)

Zombie Flesh
(pulled pork)

Infectious Waste
(salsa and cream cheese dip)
This is a party favorite. I make it every year and just changed the the name tag.

Finger Food
(cut veggies with hummus)

Finger Food
(chips and dip)

Salty Scabs
(beef jerky)
Not really bio-hazard theme but super easy and gross sounding.

Toxic Waste
(macaroni and cheese with bacon)
I colored the noodles green when cooking.

Fresh Meat
(cold cuts)
Prosciutto on the skull and salami, ham, and turkey rolled.

I made this last year as Cured Epidermis. #10 Creepy Party Food Ideas

Radioactive Brain
(cream cheese with chipolte sauce)
I colored the cream cheese green and put in a brain mold.

Tangy Testies
(meatballs)

1 bag of frozen meatballs
1 jar of grape jelly
1 jar of chili sauce

Sounds like a weird combo but everyone loves them.

Zombie Eyeballs
(deviled eggs)

I really wanted them green but I didn't test the food color before hand. :( They were really blue and reminded me of something from SpongeBob.

I made HUMAN EYEBALLS and they were awesome. Wish I had made them instead.

I also made zombie eyeballs a couple years ago. TUTORIAL HERE

I didn't print a name tag for the cupcakes but did make little radioactive tags and used bloody zombie hand picks.

I added some finger food, candy, and more cupcakes on a small table between the kitchen and living room.

It's hard to tell in some of the photos with the flash that the stands were glowing really bright. I broke open a few glow sticks and poured into glass jars. Here are more pics.

Easy GIFT IDEA - free printable - BOY/GIRL Marshmallow {{gun}} Mini Bow with AMMO!

Here is a quick post on a easy gift idea with free downloadable *ammo* tag. ;)

These marshmallow mini bows are awesome! My boys won some at Dave & Buster's at a birthday party and they turned out to be so much fun! We ended up giving them as Christmas presents to a few friends and cousins. Great birthday gift idea for sure!

Plus the little bag of AMMO, great addition to the gift. Free downloadable tag below.

Use a 4x6 cello bag and fill with mini marshmallows.

After a few times we found it easier if you let the marshmallows sit out until they get a little stiff. This way they don't stick together in the bag or bow.

We don't give our dog sweets but every time a marshmallow one hit the floor he thought it was a treat for him. He would almost knock you down to eat the ammo. :)

Such a fun gift. It was a hit with everyone!
