Hello Summer wreath - deco mesh craft - Dollar tree finds - How to make tutorial - Front porch decor

I found this cute sign from Dollar Tree and wanted to make something fun with it. 

Look at this super cute deco mesh wreath!!!

I purchased the sign and wreath form from Dollar Tree. I had the deco mesh but Dollar Tree does sell it as well. I purchased the purple mesh for my Halloween table centerpiece.

Supplies

Deco mesh (5.5")

Mesh tubing

Wreath form (14")

Sign (optional)

Chenille stems/sticks or pipe cleaners

Wire cutters

Scissors

Ruler

14" wreath form from Dollar Tree.

Cut mesh into 10" long pieces.

I used white, pink, hot pink, and yellow.

Use chenille stems/sticks or pipe cleaners to attach mesh to the wreath form.

Cut chenille stems 4" or longer if you want.

Roll deco mesh and pinch in the middle.

I used four colors of mesh but only three colors for each little bunch and made random color combos. 

I made 36 total.

I started with 4 bunches but it didn't look full enough so I added two more.

I attached chenille stems on the two inside rings and alternated every other one.

Mesh tubing looped three times.

I wanted the green on the sign to be a little brighter to match the mesh tubing.

Mod Podge and green glitter added to the leaves.

Attached the sign with chenille stems. I might add some hot glue to secure it a little more.

I also thought it would be fun to make a list or decorate with all the things the happens when he's an "adult." In quotations since I still do everything. Lol. 

Check your state on some because I used Texas laws for a few.

I decided to use the same fishing line from our annual NYE balloon pop countdown to hang photos.  

BTW, this was not to encourage him in any way. It says, "that you can do now" but I'm hoping that some don't happen. :)

Each photo is a 4x6 that I trimmed and folded. I used a ruler for the width of the fold and used the back of the scissors to press the folded end down firmer. If you use your nails it could damage the photo.

It took just a few minutes to adjust spacing on the fishing line. 

These are not my graphics. I just found clipart online, resized/edited, and added text.

Elegant HALLOWEEN themed WEDDING/ goth dinner party centerpiece idea - black & silver - HOW TO MAKE tutorial - SKULLS & jewels table decor

I'm helping a friend plan a small wedding the end of the month on Halloween! 

I made these cool centerpieces for her tables. 

Here is the mock table set-up at my house. 

I love it and I hope she loves it too!

I purchased almost everything at Michael's craft store and used their awesome coupons. 

Ashland bamboo spray in the dried floral section. 

I tested what it would look like at the store. 

Do you remember the filing cabinet makeover post? 

Graham & Brown sent me the most beautiful wallpaper 5 years ago. I love the design and thought it would be perfect for the centerpieces. 

The photos don't do it justice. The paper is metallic grey and the skulls are raised and velvety. It'gorgeous!!!

Black Halloween floral spray 

Ashland jewel decorative filler 

I emptied the jar and attached it inside the vase with hot glue.

Then added the jewels around the jar. 

I used one jar of the jewels for each centerpiece.

Black rose vines & coiled garland (wired)

I measured the garland around the base of the vase and left some room for the flowers.

I attached the little plastic skulls with hot glue first. 

I cut the roses off the vine and removed the leaves. I hot glued 2-3 flowers between each skull. 

I folded the leaves and hot glued together. I used them to fill any empty spots around the skulls.

I made one vase template with the wallpaper and traced the rest the same size.

I attached the wallpaper with hot glue just above the jewels so you couldn't see the top of the container.

I set the vases on silver chargers with jewels around the edges. Then added some loose jewels on the plates. 

I can't wait to see photos from her wedding!
