Dipped Nutter Butter TUTORIAL - VIDEO - Easy treat IDEA with Candy Melts - PARTY FAVOR - birthday, holiday, appreciation gift

So you've seen my obsession with chocolate dipped oreos -  Patriotic,  teacher appreciation, basketball party, anniversary, Valentine's day, mini oreos, EVEN on a stick! Okay, you get the idea. I like dipped oreos and the main reason is because I can dip a ton in short amount of time. Quick and EASY to make!

Well.........can you believe I found something even easier and even quicker!!?? CHOCOLATE DIPPED NUTTER BUTTER COOKIES! They taste fantastic and I can dip 32 in 4-5 minutes. Not that it's a race but I could totally beat that time!

Everyone goes crazy for them like the oreos. I've made them for appreciation events, birthdays, Christmas, and just recently as a thank you gift!

You'll need:

Candy melts

Coconut oil (optional but it makes the melts easier to work with)

Nutter Butter cookies

Parchment paper or foil (parchment paper works better)

Bags & ribbon

Heat candy melts in a bowl for 45 seconds in the microwave. Stir. Usually I heat an additional 20 second increments until melted. If it's basically melted but a few chunks you can continue to stir until smooth. You don't want to overheat or it will get thick and stay thick.

HUGE TIP!!!! I wrote coconut oil is "optional" because I don't always use it. I apparently do this to make things more difficult for myself. :) Afterwards I always say I should've added it. Soooo I recommend, especially if drizzling chocolate, to add a little coconut oil.

Once the candy melts are melted and you have almost a pour-able consistency, you are ready! I only dip Nutter Butter cookies half way and shake off excess chocolate. Just a couple shakes and place on parchment paper. I try not to touch the bowl or tap the cookie to prevent crumbs and breakage.

Chocolate will dry fast so if you are adding sprinkles you may want to dip 8-10 and add sprinkles. Then continue to dip the rest. 

Once they are dry you can drizzle with colors

TIP- I like to drizzle one base color on all of them first. Then I pick two other colors to drizzle on half. For example, the ones pictured I drizzled orange first to all of them. Then I added red on some and pink on the others.

I saw these smaller individual drizzle bags in a bunch of colors and flavors. Very cool. I haven't tried them but it would be great for these treats. 

These were made for someone at the local retirement residence that was turning 90!!! Sweet birthday surprise.

Since you are only dipping half of the Nutter Butter cookie, they will go stale if you don't bag them. DON'T WORRY!!! It's okay because I usually bag and give them away soon after I make them. IF I don't....I'll eat them all. It's called motivation to get them out of the house! I've only waited 2 days after bagging before eating them all delivering and they were perfect. 

For bagging I ran out of my regular bags so these are resealable 4x5 bags I cut the tops off. I'm closing them with ribbon so I didn't need the closure.

I picked a few different ribbon and packaged one chocolate and one white chocolate for each bag.

Nail Stickers!! Quick and Easy - tutorial

I'm obsessed! I found these about two months ago and love love love them!

NAIL STICKERS!!!

I wash my hands and hand sanitize ALL day long and they make my nails much stronger and they last for over a week. (one set lasted for 20 days!!!) No nail polish chips, no broken nails, and since I'm such a hand talker (like directing traffic) my nails look great all the time.

I would like to say my hands are really dry and I just took off red nail polish prior to putting these stickers on....translation - no comments about my crappy looking hands. :)

Takes about 7-10 mins to apply. A little longer the first time but it gets quicker.

I purchased these at HEB for $5.97. 

These are the only ones I've tried but her are other brands ranging up to $13

Start by taking off all nail polish and file. I cleaned up my cuticles as well.

Place strip over the nail to measure. Make sure you start on one side and bend the sheet to see if it covers to the other side. If you place one that is too small they will wrinkle and lift. Sometimes they look a little big but once I press the edges they fit perfect.

Grab stickers at the very bottom since that part will not be attached to the nail. Don't want to weaken the stickiness.

Start at the cuticle

Press firmly for a few seconds

They go around the edges and press to make sure they are attached

Now to remove the excess edge

I fold it over

With a DOWNWARD motion I file all the sides. If you go back and forth it will lift the sticker.

It doesn't take much. 

The edges are filed enough to just pull the excess piece off

Then again in one motion NOT back and forth you can clean up the edges or a jagged spots.

These ended up be my least favorite of the ones I've put on so far. Not that they didn't last but in the beginning I washed my hands a bunch after putting them on and they had a few wrinkles. I put clear nail polish under and pressed down and they looked fine. But still, such a pain after I just put them on. The white also showed wear when they started to dull around the edges after about 7 days. I wore them for 11 days and unless you were up close they looked fine. 

 MY FAVORITE were the pink zebra with jewels. THIS IS AFTER 20 days and they looked AWESOME!

They even have them for kids!!!! These fit a 2yr old.
