CRAFT ROOM TOUR - Organization, Set-up, Ideas - GARAGE Make-Over - Work in Progress

Back in August I just started making organizational progress. Whoohoo.....then, we moved. Womp womp.

Now I have my very own CRAFT ROOM!!!! Technically I had one before but it was open to the work out room and part of the garage. NOW it's my very own space for just crafts and it's bigger!!!!!!

My husband is just as excited and keeps commenting how my crap crafts are contained. Lol!!!

It's still a work in progress but I wanted to show you how it's coming along. I still need to paint, build a desk, hang my ribbon organizer (which I think will just be wrapping paper now) and build a new ribbon organizer. :D

BEFORE - storage for everything during the move plus my craft stuff all over.

A month of all the moving boxes and misc things in that room is over!!!! FINALLY making progress....again.

I used the same carpet from the old craft room but had to trim a little down. The part I'm trimming was under a garage shelving system.

Look at my cute "helper."

I like to work on my craft table but I also like to sit on the floor. Now I can do both.

I kept the same shelves and added more bins. I'm still going through boxes, so many boxes.

I used the top shelf to display some of my photos. :) My BFF and crafting twin suggested and I love it.
I made more labels since I'm moving things around but yet to attach them.

I even made a little sitting area because I had the space. :)

Material was leftover from a baby photo shoot years ago. Plus it's hiding ugly spots on the wall.

Awe!

Next, I need to move all the wrapping paper and shelf in the corner. I want to hang my wrapping paper and organize my ribbon on the other wall.

My craft room is always a mess. I plan to organize and then I start a new project, then another, and another. :/ FINALLY I started getting everything into the bins and labeled!!! I'm so excited how it's coming along.

I wanted all the bins at once and finish everything right away but I couldn't afford that. Over the last year every time I went to Wal-Mart I picked up one or two bins. Downside is if they change styles or discontinue or in my case change colors. Ugh. I love the green and now it's teal. :/ I'm twitching a little but I'll make a row of just teal. ((see bottom row...three bins so far))

BEFORE
See, I told you! Me-ssssy.

AFTER

Now that I have everything organized I created labels.

They are printed as 4x6 photos.

I cut and used double sided tape to attach.

If you have some of the same supplies I can share my labels. :)

I still need to make more labels, keep organizing, and most importantly.....put stuff back. Lol!

DIY Ribbon & Wrapping ORGANIZER - how to make tutorial - Rack, display, storage - how to build - CRAFT ROOM organization idea

My first post was just photos and being super excited to have organization in place.
Now I'm sharing all the details.

All supplies were purchased at Home Depot.
1/4" rods
1/4" wing nuts
#4 hooks
Chain

I decided to use the 1/4" since it was lightweight, inexpensive, and fit nicely in the chain.

1/4" wing nuts. I opened a package just to make sure they fit.

#4 hooks - I went a little crazy with the size. I wasn't sure how heavy everything was going to be :)

Not sure the size of the chain. I picked one that fit the 1/4" rod and was the least expensive. Here is my tough guy or so he thought, holding the chain.

Pinned all the ribbon to prevent unraveling and organized by color.

Added all the ribbon to the rods. Placed wing nuts at the ends to keep the rods in place.
