Merry Christmas! Morning pranks and Santa's message - fun & creative gift giving ideas - Gift of family time

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!

We always do fun pranks, clues, and Santa's message to find their gift.

New set of prank boxes. The details on each box are so funny.

The inside flaps says, PRANK YOU! Don't get too excited, your real gift is inside.

I like them for Christmas but you could use them for birthdays or any gift.
I found several at Wal-Mart.

But my absolute favorite this year was this gift.
Rule was that he had to open all the clues before guessing.

3 boxes filled with clues.
The fun part was that the first two boxes of clues were just random words.

I kept saying, "missing sock, don't you get it?!" "Think about the clues." "Forest, neck, dishes.....did you figure it out?"
LOL!!! The confused look was hilarious.

The third box had the clues. He got a new bike. :)

I didn't use it for a gift card but did hide Santa's clue in it.

Fun game from Santa. I can't wait to play.

Update: We had so much fun playing on NYE. Almost more fun without the game.

Sleepover FUN! Minute to win it game IDEAS! Great for all ages - kids and adults - Party idea - Family game night

The boys had a sleepover at our house last weekend and it was a fun filled evening.

They had pizza, played Minute to Win it games, and made ice cream sundaes. I should say toppings with a little ice cream :)

Let the games to begin!

I tried to picture only my kids so I don't have very many.
I also had a tally board on an easel to keep scores.

4 playing cards set up. The original game description said to use clothespins and stand them up. I couldn't find clothespins so I used the stands from the game LIFE or Candy Land. Use rubber bands to see how many you can knock down in a minute.

I was going to have them blow up a balloon and use the air from it to move the cups but this was a little easier. We set up 15 cups and they had to push the cup by blowing into the straw to move them across a line on the table. This was surprisingly very very fast.

We used straws to suck up the air to pick up mini marshmallows and transfer them to a bowl. This was easy and the boys had fun shooting the marshmallows at each other after the game.

One hand behind your back and you use the other to take out tissues one at a time (can't dig down and grab them all.) I did allow to use your chin to hold the box. This one caused a lot of dust but we needed the boxes for our next game.

This one you fill the boxes with ping pong balls (found a box of 38 at a local sporting goods store for $12) and I used packing tape to wrap them around their waist. They might need to be a little lower but it worked. Then you shake until all the balls are out of your box. You can't lay down or use your hands. I videoed and I'm not sure how I managed it because I was laughing so hard. This was my favorite game by far.

This one was hard and ended up being my tie breaker game. You put a raw spaghetti noodle in your mouth and try to pick up penne noodles.

This one you take streamer rolls and try to unroll it first. The rolls are really cheap (.89 cents) and the boys had fun after throwing at each other at the end.

Finished the evening off with a silly string fight, video games, movie and popcorn. They also had some ipad/itouch time just before bedtime.

Tons of laughs with friends
PRICELESS!

We played Minute to Win it games during our NYE balloon pop countdown. This was the favorite game of the evening.

GIFT ideas that are fun and SILLY - lots of laughs

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I wanted to share some SILLY and FUN gifts our family gave and received this Christmas.

Definitely FUN (and usable) gift we gave my Mom. It was more of a joke and she loved it.

This is a great 21st birthday gift idea

Supplies:
Dowels
Shredded paper,
Floral foam
Basket
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

I used a wire cutter for quick cut ...quick, not clean. It's okay, everyone looks at the bottles and never notices the sticks.

I went to Twin Liquors and they have these ranging from .89 to $2.29. The Texas shaped tequilas (are also salt shakers) were a little more.
Hot glued the dowels to the back of the bottles.

Arrange in the basket and add the paper shreds.

You could also add lottery tickets or favorite snacks.

She loved it! I wish I had taken a picture of the wrapping. We kept calling it the blob present. Use a gift bag or just tie a bow if it's a gift.

Have a zombie fan? That's our family....remember our ZOMBIE PICTURE?

My only advise would be to buy a size larger then you/they wear. You need room to pull it over your head....to look like a zombie! Boys wear 6-7 and 8-10 and I purchased the Large and X-Large for them. I wear either a Small or Medium but went with the Large in womans and my hubby wears Large so I purchased X-Large.

These are really cool! Draw a picture and watch it "crystalize" right in front of you. Almost looks like it shatters making it look metallic. The boys and Nana had a great time with them. Only downside is they change back to wet marker and even start to run down the window. Not sure how long (maybe a few hours) or if temps in the house caused the reaction. Anyway, we just wiped it down but it might stain if left on the window seal too long.

It works!
We had to use a paper to fan one drawing to get the crystals to start and another we touched the corner and it started.

Silly and fun stocking stuffer. Boys used these right away and every day since Christmas. They thought it was really neat that it made their face cold as the liquid went through. They started with milk but after they had to rinse them out (and Mom wasn't going to do it for them) they only used water.

My hubby got a MAJOR AWARD! This is totally a gag gift my Mom gave him but he had it put together and plugged in before the next gift was opened. :)

I feel a telepathic attack is coming :) That's what happens when you're a Mom of only boys. My first thought was an X-Men character. Oh dear!

Thank you for stopping by!
