"MUST HAVE" crafting supplies - What's yours? - TOP PICK FOR CRAFTERS

What's your pick as top crafting items?

Pick one thing you can't live without when crafting!? Well, one was hard but I could narrow it down to SIX :)  I left a few ton of favorites off my list but I was going for what I use most.

Not is any order, just my top used supplies (magically pictured around me)

1. Double sided tape - I should buy stock in it! I use double sided tape all the time and on ton of crafts. I don't think I can use regular tape anymore. All those cute personalized tags I attach are all with double sided tape.

2. Glue gun - Whoooohoooo! My poor over used glue gun or as a friend said once, "It's well loved." After seeing how destroyed it looks, it's definitely well loved!  If I'm not attaching with double sided tape, it's with a glue gun. Remember my glue gun ties??? Three ties made quick for a photo shoot and even holding them now you can't tell I used hot glue!

3. Spray paint - I know this one is kinda weird but I LOVE spray paint! I have almost every color and for something super quick and that dries fast....it's awesome!! Now that I've found Glitter Blast spray paint, glitter was not listed in my top crafting supplies. I used it on the guest book picture frame and it was so quick and easy!

4. Cutter - I have a small fiskar cutting board I use sooooo much. I even keep a supply of back-up blades. I'm pretty good with scissors but the cutter makes it look perfect!!!! Just how I like it!

5. Punches - big heart, small heart, big circle, medium circle, small circle,  scalloped circle, big edge rounder, small edge rounder, big tag, small tag, square, borders and too many more to name. :) I think I have a bit of a problem. My favorite one right now is the Recollections 1 7/16 scalloped lever punchI even have an ETSY shop that I design and pre-cut personalized tags.

6. Ribbon - I'm sure this is a big one with crafters. I finish almost every project with ribbon (if I can.) Remember my ribbon topiary??? Also, my hanging color coordinated ribbon and wrapping paper organizer helps keep everything together and I know when I'm low on a color.

What do you use?

Now my outtakes for my top crafting supplies picture. Amazing what a little editing can do.

Guest Book Picture Frame - Tutorial - ZEBRA and HOT PINK!

The original plan was to have her picture in the center but as the event got closer we didn't have a chance to do photos. PLAN B!!!

Super awesome, right!? I'm so excited she has this hanging in her room now!

I found this bathroom print at Wal-Mart for $9

Purchased a wooden M at Michael's craft store, spray painted and used holographic glitter

Very carefully peeled the paper backing and removed the matte and class. I used paper in between the backing and the frame to make sure not to spray paint the paper backing.

Used flat black spray paint

And then GLITTER BLAST!!! Since I painted the frame black I used Starry Night.

Finished with a clear sealer to make a nice gloss over the glitter.

I had leftover zebra print scrapbooking paper from my

After the event, you add the glass back in and now you have a nice way to remember your guests. Makes a neat keepsake.

DIY Table Topiary - {{hot pink & zebra}} Super cute PARTY decoration idea!!!

I made these for table top centerpieces and they turned out so cute!

See my matching GUEST BOOK FRAME post

Floral foam, mini pots, ribbon, styrofoam balls, dowels, hot glue gun and glue, scissors, shredded paper, stick pins (ball or flat), spray paint

I used a flat black spray paint

Then used glitter blast to add some sparkle

It works so much better if you use the same size ribbon or close to the same size. I had two that were really thin but sparkly to add a little filler.

I don't remember how long these are but I made the loop and placed it on the ball to make sure they weren't too large. Maybe a little over 2 inches.

I like to pre-loop and add the stick pin so assembling goes faster. This is the long tedious part.

Since these were for the table I used 2 1/2 inch balls

I prefer the stick pins with the ball on the top. At the end you can't see them and they are a little easier on the fingers.

I put them close and alternating direction.

I held the ball until I got about half way

Then I wrapped a dowel in ribbon

And hot glued in place

I added and hotglued floral foam cut into squares in the bottom of the pots. I stuck the dowel in and hot glued it as well and covered the floral foam with paper shreds.
I found these diamond stick pins and added a few to each topiary

I made the last few on our drive into town. This was my car work station :)

I made tags for the top that had the event and date.

Cute, right!?
