Fondue at home - Treats & fruit ideas - The Melting Pot copycat - oreo cookie & graham cracker covered marshmallows

We made a fondue tray as one of our NYE balloon pop countdown ideas this year.
I tried The Melting Pot Oreo and Graham Cracker covered marshmallows.
They were so easy and tasted amazing!!!

I also made tray for one and a larger tray for a Dungeons and Dragons session.
The first to go were the marshmallows.

Supplies:
Ziplock bags
Rolling pin
Cup/bowl of water
Oreo cookies / graham crackers

I only had mini Oreos. I used two bags but had a lot left over. I made 8 large marshmallows.
I would think 4-5 regular size cookies would be plenty for the same amount.

2 graham crackers to make 8 marshmallows.

Remove all the center cream/icing from the Oreo cookies.

Place in a ziplock bag and remove the air.

Roll until almost a powder consistency.

Hold the marshmellow and use your finger to add a small amount of water to the entire marshmallow. Rub gently the water in and the marshmallow will become sticky.

Drop in the bag of crushed Oreo cookies, hold bag closed and shake. Make sure the entire marshmallow is covered. Repeat.

I made them and immediately served. They dry pretty quick.
I'm not sure if you can make these in advance and store in a container. I would think the cookie coating would become stale. Let me know if you try.

They ate all the other cookies & brownie bites without the melted chocolate.

Six boys and I gave them individual cups of melted chocolate.

I was lazy and just used bakers chocolate and melted in the microwave.
Microwave: 30 seconds on high, stir, and repeat until melted.

If you are looking for a fancier chocolate recipe I think this one sounded good.

Other ideas to use for dipping:
Bananas
Apples
Red velvet cake squares
Cheese cake squares

DIY Personlized Holographic GLITTER wine glasses - GNO, bachelorette, or birthday party - Great gift idea!

I made several of these the other night for friends and one for a special to visit to see my BFF for a movie and wine night. She loved it!

I love how they turned out!

I worked that day and had about three hours before I was leaving for her house. I stopped by Target on the way home and found these wine glasses for $4.20 for a pack of 4! Since I wasn't sure how they would or IF they would turn out, I didn't mind using cheap glasses. It was more of a novelty gift anyway.

Mod Podge
Masking tape
Brush
Holographic glitter ((ooooh ahhhh....I LOVE holographic glitter)
Wine glasses
Letter stickers (optional)

What is holographic glitter you ask? WHAT!!!??? Seriously!!?? It's just the best thing ever! Like mini rainbows in each tiny speck! NO comparison to regular glitter. Once you use holographic you'll be hooked.

Taped around the glass keeping the tape low enough that the glitter wouldn't be too close to your mouth when taking a drink and high enough that you didn't hold the glitter when holding the glass. Some still comes off even when they are dry.

Placed sticker and applied Mod Podge.

Covered with glitter.
It dries really quick so work fast :)

I used a piece of paper to catch the excess glitter. Didn't want to waste any!

I had to use the inside of the glass to locate the letter sticker and pulled it off carefully before the glue dried.

Try to removed the tape right after you add the glitter. I didn't want to wait for it to dry and risk it pulling away some of the glitter.

Once the glasses were dry I scratched off a tiny spot of glue with my nail where it smudged.

Hand wash only! I wouldn't put these in the dishwasher but I rinsed the outside and hand washed the edge and inside of the glass and the glitter stayed perfectly!
