I made these this morning for a Super Bowl party today but they would be great for any get together.
I labeled it 7 layers but I think they are really six. I've seen these all over pinterest and if you count each garnish as a topping these are actually an EIGHT layer dip! Oooooh Ahhhhh.
I mixed the beans and taco seasoning and made the guacamole
cut the tomatoes, olives, and jalapenos
I bagged the guacamole, beans, sour cream and salsa in ziplock bags. I wanted to make it as easy as possible to assemble and make sure each layer was perfect. Plus I figured less mess.
Cut the corner and squeeze! Easy peasy!
I did all the cups at once completing nine before I ran out of guacamole. I would say use one more avocado and it will probably make 12 cups.
I think these would be good with a layer of taco meat too. Might try that next time.
I love how they turned out!
After taste testing I would suggest serving these with a spoon. Scoop-able chips aren't long enough and regular tostitos aren't strong enough so you end up eating a mouth full of sour cream, salsa and cheese. If you had spoons you could get all the layers at once and put it on the chip. Tried it and worked out perfect.
