DIY Graduation cap PARTY FAVOR & TINY TASSEL tutorial - Fill with candy with school colors or theme

These are so cute! Great graduation party favor idea.

I made these for a friend with the school logo but included a FREE downloadable tag in GOLD & SILVER for Class of 2019 & Class of 2020 below.

I used the same cups for the movie candy from our RED CARPET event.

Supplies
Cups
Brads
Cotton embroidery floss
Double sided tape
Candy
Printed tags

I filled cups with M&M's matching the school colors but you can fill with any treat or candy.

I found these mini brads at Michael's with 3 different colors.

Black embroidery floss.

Super easy way to make 4 mini tassels.
Open ends of the skein into loops. I tied them together at each end with floss. Leave a lot of extra floss at the end so you can attach them when you are done.

Removed the paper wrappers and tie the floss in the center on each long side.

Then cut the floss in the middle on the left side and again on the right side of the center where tied.
Fold the two center tassels in half. You will now have 4 pieces.
Then wrap floss a few times near the top and tie. Cut excess floss.

I trimmed tags.

To attach the tassel I pressed the brad in the center of the tag.

Before bending the brad, measure the length of the tassel and tie a knot. Place under the brad and bend to secure.

So cute!

I love this idea for a party favor or as table decorations.
